About the Author

Professionally and passionately, Sambit is an EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) Consultant who embraces 13 years of experience. His expertise includes SAP S/4HANA EHS Consulting, Pre-Sales Consulting and Project Implementation. He provides consulting services to clients on their EHS Digital Transformation journey.

He is also a Microsoft Azure Cloud certified consultant and keeps abreast of the latest SAP S/4HANA Cloud offerings. Endless possibilities of the modernistic technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) fascinate him.

Academically, he is an MBA degree holder in Business Sustainability and Marketing from TERI University, New Delhi.

He is an ultra-marathoner, green activist and writer. “Anybody Can Run” is his first book which is intended to inspire people to stay fit by running and work diligently towards solving societal issues.

He takes various initiatives for the empowerment and education of the students. He also spends most of his personal time executing various projects towards tree plantation and climate change awareness activities.

In 2014, Sambit started running as a weight loss exercise. However, he had no clue how running can jog someone to a new horizon of life. At that time, he didn’t know that millions of people across the world follow this sport. He heard the word “Marathon” for the first time in 2015.

When he ran 2 km in 2014, he used to feel that he had reached his extreme limit. But slowly over the years, he has completed thirty-three half marathons, four full marathons and one ultra-marathon. The positive frame of mind that blossomed due to regular running helped him in hatching new initiatives to address various challenges. Most of these ideas dropped anchor on his mind while running.

His life’s vision aims at ideating innovative solutions to mitigate climate change and making his village an ideal village of the state Odisha, India.
